Company Ownership
Brad Hutzal is the founder and owner of ViaComp, and an expert in web development, database design, and network infrastructure. He possesses a strong understanding of both Windows and web-based development technologies, and a sound knowledge of both the Microsoft operating systems and server products and their open-source counterparts. Brad was the first in Canada to meet the requirements of the Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) program. He was also the first in Canada to hold both the MCSD and the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) designations simultaneously.
Brad has a very wide range of experience in the computer industry including IT and project management, requirements documentation and planning, development and database design, systems and networking infrastructure, implementation, training, and technical support. He has been involved in projects ranging from small deployments for local businesses, to the management and support of IT assets spread across the globe, to the development and deployment of multi-lingual, multi-location Internet-based services.
While Brad’s heart has always been in technology, he has transitioned himself from a pure “techie” into a strong project manager and technical team lead. His strong technical background matched with his excellent managerial skills allows him to take charge of the most complex technology projects. Because he understands both sides of the equation – business and technology – he can effectively direct projects that traditional project managers struggle with.
Brad is well respected within the industry and has contracted his services to many reputable corporations including Microsoft, Rogers, GlaxoSmithKline, Chapters, Deutsche Bank, the City of Toronto, and Prothermex Industrial.
